Associate Director of Clinical Chemistry and Immunology - Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine
The Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Department of Pathology is seeking a doctorate-level scientist to join their team as an Associate Director in the Clinical Chemistry and Immunology Division at Moses Hospital. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Biological, Chemical, or Laboratory Science or Health Services (PhD, MD, DO) and have experience in Clinical Chemistry, Immunology and laboratory management. Training and/or experience in Mass Spectrometry is desirable. Oversight of clinical laboratory operations, active participation in hospital committees, resident and medical school teaching are responsibilities of the position. Additional responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic interest, including participation in translational or clinical research.
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Certificates of Qualification for Laboratory Directorship. PhD applicants must be ABCC-board certified or eligible. MD/DO applicants must have board eligibility/certification in clinical pathology. Academic appointment to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience.
Montefiore Medical Center is a university-affiliated healthcare system serving the Bronx and Westchester County. The Department of Pathology performs over 12 million billable tests annually and has multiple clinical laboratory locations in the Bronx and Westchester County. The Clinical Chemistry and Immunology Division performs over 8 million tests annually, including protein separation, allergy, toxicology, and lead testing.
