Director, Division of Laboratory Medicine at William Pepper Laboratory of Clinical Medicine - Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board-certification in clinical pathology is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, and fellow education. We are seeking an outstanding individual who has an established reputation for clinical innovation and academic excellence, as well as leadership qualities and administrative skills to lead the division of laboratory medicine.

Clinical responsibilities may include managing excellent clinical programs locally within laboratory medicine as well as from a system perspective across our health system; providing leadership within the Department; working collaboratively across the organization to support its clinical mission and advancing the clinical research mission of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and the Perelman School of Medicine.

The laboratory has a long history of excellence and is committed to its tripartite mission of clinical service, education and applied/translation research in Pathology with a world-class faculty and full service laboratories performing nearly 19 million state-of-the-art tests per year and approximately 350 professional technical staff.

Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care, education and administration. Rank (Associate or Full Professor) will be commensurate with experience.
