ACLPS Grant Opportunities


Call for Grant Applications

ACLPS is now accepting applications for the Paul E. Strandjord Young Investigator Grant program. These grants are for research relevant to clinical laboratory science, clinical pathology, and laboratory medicine. Proposed research may be clinical, translational, basic science, quality improvement, and/or regulatory.

As this grant program is designed for young investigators, grant recipients must either be in training (residency and/or clinical or research fellowship) OR less than three years after their first faculty appointment (any level) at the time of application. Funding for individual grants is limited to $7,500. Awardees will be expected to present their research at an upcoming ACLPS Annual Meeting.

The grant application requires the use of Microsoft Word 2007 or later.

Application Submissions

All completed applications must be submitted through an online website at As the online system was originally designed for conference abstracts, some terminology on the site (e.g. conference date and location) is not applicable to our grant program. The website will ask for upload of a “paper”. The “paper” to be uploaded is your completed application using the Microsoft Word application form available for download above.

The application deadline is November 1, 2017.
