The Department of Pathology, Division of Pediatric Pathology, at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Wisconsin, seeks a board certified / board eligible Clinical Chemistry, Point-of-Care Testing (POCT), and Biochemical Genetics Laboratory Director (ABCC or ABPath) to join our team. This is an opportunity to advance and grow the clinical chemistry service line while providing outstanding patient care and contributions to research, education, and clinical innovation. The Clinical Chemistry, POCT, and Biochemical Genetics Laboratory Director provides medical and scientific leadership for the CAP-accredited Children’s Wisconsin Chemistry Laboratories, overseeing high-complexity testing and ensuring excellence in clinical service, quality, innovation, and regulatory compliance.
Position Highlights
• Join a collaborative team of laboratory and pediatric specialists, specializing in pediatric anatomic pathology, hematopathology, neuropathology, microbiology, immunology, clinical chemistry, and biochemical genetics.
• Teach and mentor Medical Laboratory Scientists, AP/CP residents, pediatric pathology and other pediatric specialty fellows.
• Thrive in a pediatric-centered environment with the multisite Children’s Wisconsin Laboratories, which perform over one million tests annually.
• Participate in clinical, translational, or basic science research with protected time to advance your work; leverage partnerships through the Children’s Research Institute and the Clinical & Translational Science Institute of Southeastern Wisconsin.
