Molecular Pathology Faculty - University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (USA). The Department of Pathology of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) seeks a molecular pathologist or molecular diagnostician to join our growing practice. The holder of this non-tenure-track position, at assistant professor to professor rank, will focus on molecular oncologic testing. The successful applicant will also conduct collaborative or independent scholarship and teach pathology. Allocation of effort is flexible, with clinician-educator and clinician-scientist tracks available.

Our ten clinical pathologists (including four molecular pathologists) and two PhD laboratorians support many centers of clinical excellence, including the recently NCI-designated Stephenson Cancer Center.

Affordable and friendly, Oklahoma has a high quality of life. The Oklahoma City metro area is home to numerous museums and sports teams. Outdoor activities in the state’s varied geography include birding, boating, cycling, fishing, hiking, and water skiing.

Requirements are:
* experience with next-generation sequencing

For pathologists
* MD, DO, or equivalent degree
* eligibility for medical licensure in Oklahoma
* board certification or board eligibility in anatomic and clinical pathology (American Board of Pathology)
* board certification, board eligibility, or current fellowship training in molecular genetic pathology (American Board of Pathology)

For non-pathologists
* MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree
* eligibility for medical licensure in Oklahoma (if MD or DO)
* board certification, board eligibility, or current postdoctoral training in molecular diagnostics (American Board of Clinical Chemistry) or laboratory genetics and genomics or clinical molecular genetics and genomics (American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics)
