Immunology Laboratory Director – University of Utah - ARUP Laboratories

The University of Utah, Department of Pathology, is seeking a Laboratory Director in Immunology to work at ARUP Laboratories, an enterprise of the University of Utah. The successful candidate will have a faculty appointment in the Department of Pathology with rank and track based on academic experience.

ARUP is a full service, high complexity reference laboratory with clients from more than half of the nation’s university teaching and children’s hospitals, major commercial laboratories, military and government facilities, and many community hospitals. As such, the laboratory sees a broad range of specimen types and indications and offers a range of testing options from traditional techniques to esoteric testing.

Responsibilities include interpretation of laboratory results, consultation with physicians, resident and fellow education, and quality control and quality assurance, and supporting the academic and test development projects with the laboratory and Department of Pathology.

Applicants should hold either a PhD degree with board certification by the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology (ABMLI) or an MD degree with board certification in clinical pathology. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in Immunology laboratory testing.
