Call for Nominations
ACLPS is requesting nominations for several leadership and committee positions as well as the Benson and Evans awards.

The positions available are:
Executive Council
President-Elect (1 position): The elected individual will serve a four- year term as President-Elect, President, Immediate Past-President, and Past-President.
Treasurer (1 position): The elected individual will serve a three-year term.
Member-At-Large (2 positions): The elected individuals will serve three-year terms.
Nominating and Awards Committee
Member-at-Large (1 position): The elected individual will serve a three-year term.
Membership Committee
Member-at-Large (1 position): The elected individual will serve a three-year term.
Education Committee
Member-at-Large (3 positions): The elected individuals will serve three-year terms.
Website Committee
Chair (1 position): The elected individual will serve a three-year term.
Member-at-Large (1 position): The elected individual will serve a three-year term.
Nominations for these positions are due on January 15, 2026. Self-nominations will be accepted gladly. We welcome participation from all Active Members. Volunteering is a great opportunity to contribute your time and expertise in support of the organization, our members, and the broader field of laboratory medicine!

ACLPS is now also accepting nominations for the 2026 Ellis Benson Award and the 2026 Gerald T. Evans Award.
The Ellis Benson Award is presented annually to an early career physician and/or scientist (member or nonmember of the Academy) in recognition of meritorious accomplishments in the field of Laboratory Medicine. Nominees are generally expected to be under 45 years of age by July 1, 2026, or within 10 years of completion of clinical training, although exceptions to these general criteria will be considered.
The Gerald T. Evans Award is presented annually to an ACLPS member for outstanding leadership and/or service to the Academy. Names of past awardees can be found on the ACLPS website at https://www.aclps.org/previous-award-winners.
Nominations for these positions are due on January 15, 2026. Please submit the name of your nominee(s), a current CV (for Benson award, if available), and a detailed letter that explains why the individual deserves the award to:
